Director Sarah Harrison is a highly experienced conservation architect, holding accreditation with the Architects Accredited in Building Conservation (AABC) scheme. The practice is also a member of the Ecclesiastical Architects and Surveyors Association (EASA).

We act as Quinquennial Inspecting Architect and Church Architect for a number of churches across the Dioceses of Newcastle and Durham, ranging from Grade I, Grade II* and Grade II listed buildings to unlisted churches. We recognise that every church is unique and ensure each receives the individual care and attention it deserves.

Our experience extends from the conservation, repair and maintenance of historic church buildings to the design and installation of new facilities, including accessible WCs, serveries and comprehensive church reordering schemes. We also provide specialist advice on significant building defects, investigating their underlying causes and developing appropriate, sympathetic and practical remedial solutions.



We guide churches through the ecclesiastical faculty process, from initial proposals and consultation through to obtaining the necessary approvals. This includes considerable experience in securing urgent faculties where essential repairs are required to safeguard historic buildings and their continued use.
