Crabtree Bridge Farm

This recently completed barn conversion maintains the traditional barn aesthetic, maximising many of the original details, whilst creating a bright modern home. Maintaining some of the existing large openings allowed for maximum exposure to the incredible natural surroundings.
Client - Private

Location - Lancashire

Construction Cost - £500 - £750k

Completed - June 2019
Crabtree Farm was a vacant, run down farm with two large barns, which the client wished to convert into two dwellings. We worked with the existing buildings to create a large four bedroom and a open plan two bedroom property.

It was important to maintain a rural style and yet allow for a light and spacious interior. We used large ares of glazing within former openings to respect the barn aesthetic and combine the original features with the new elements.

Working closely with the client Harrison Architects Studio were able to use 3D models and hand sketches to convey our ideas and turn them into reality.
